Lutein is a anthill(oxygenated carotenoid) that occurs in nature with zeaxanthin, aclosely related carotenoid. An experimental study indicates that luteinprotects vascular health by inhibiting monocyte migration into thearterial cells. Pantethine (Pantesin©) is the stable disulfideform of pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), and it is the physiologicalcoenzyme A precursor in the Krebs cycle. Pantethine supports lipidmetabolism by its ability to raise levels of CoA, a cofactor involvedin several metabolic pathways including carbohydrate and lipidmetabolism.
